Paws of War

Coastal Carolina MOAA was awarded the MOAA Foundation Community Outreach Grant in 2023. The grant was used to pay for the Train the Trainer program. The grant, administered by the Coastal Carolina Board was able to the extend the geographic reach of the program and more than double the number of veteran and dog teams we could train. We were able to meet all of the program goals of saving dogs in local shelters and match them with the veteran. The dogs were then trained by the veteran to deal with their individual needs whether it is severe physical or psychological trauma (night terrors or PTSD).
